The Donald Slayton Children's Foundation was officially formed as a non-profit federally registered charity in 2003. The foundation has been raising funds for those in need on a grass roots basis for many years, even prior to its official establishment.

As a 501-C-3 (EIN 16-1683263), non-profit tax-deductible corporation, our mission is to assist children with life-threatening diseases, those who have had serious accidents or injuries as well a their families.

Throughout the year on a continual basis, we strive to help as many families as possible through the dedication of our board members. At times, our members have personally funded these projects due to their dedication and commitment to our cause.

We are now reaching out to the community for additional support as the number of families the foundation supports has grown. As we attempt to support the number of growing families in need, our financial resources must grow in response.

Each year at the holiday season, we raise additional money to provide for these needy families, those in hospital and foster care. There is no reward comparable to the joy evident on each child's face when he/she sees what our contributions have allowed us to obtain. In some cases, this is the only gift they will receive.

As an insight to the foundation character , we would like you to know, than other than minimal operational expenses, all monies raised go to the causes mentioned and your donation is completely tax deductible.
